Fans in Villach were treated to a true hockey spectacle. The visitors from St. Pölten took an early lead through a quick double strike from Ashley Taciuk, but the hosts responded before the first intermission. Two goals from Liga Miljone turned the game around, giving the Hawks a 3–2 advantage. The Sabres regained momentum in the second period — after equalizing, Taciuk completed her hat-trick to make it 4–3, before the visitors pulled ahead 6–3. The Lady Hawks mounted a late push, with Miljone netting her third of the night, but the Sabres ultimately held on for a narrow win.

There was also drama in Ferlach. Tamara Grascher put the Huskies ahead early, but despite several chances, the Lakers were unable to find the net in the opening period. Midway through the game, Emma Hall brought the hosts level, and in the final frame, Maggie Peterson scored the decisive goal to seal a 2–1 home victory.
