Sabres rally for a point
The Sabres St. Pölten dropped points for the first time this season but battled back from 0-2 down to earn a point. After goals from Emily Baxter and Bernadett Nemeth, Katharina Killius and Alexandra Hirjakova drew St. Pölten level within seconds of each other. MAC Budapest prevailed in the shootout.

Lady Hawks settle it early
The VSV Lady Hawks set the tone early, with Natalia Gerö, Alex Spence and Rebecca Clarke all scoring in the first period. Sara Confidenti extended the lead in the middle frame, and Clarke added her second of the night late in the game. The Villach side have now won all three of their games this season.

Both teams are back in action in Budapest on Sunday, with the Sabres facing Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia and the Lady Hawks visiting MAC Budapest.
