Sabres St. Pölten center Emma McKnight scored the game-winning goal against the EVB Eagles South Tyrol in the ninth minute. The visitors from South Tyrol recorded a total of 16 shots on goal, but were unable to overcome SAB goalkeeper Rosina Fichtinger. It was the third win in three games for the Lower Austrians. With nine points, they are in fourth place in the table. South Tyrol remain top of the table despite their first defeat of the season in their sixth game. With 14 points, they are one point ahead of Almaty.

Budapest wins against Salzburg
Budapest Jegkorong Akademia celebrated their second win in their third game of the season and are now sixth in the table. The Hungarians took the lead in the 13th minute in their 3:0 win against the still winless DEC Salzburg Eagles. The score remained 1:0 until the 49th minute, before the hosts made it 2:0 in the powerplay. The decision was made eleven seconds before the end with an empty-net goal. BJA goalkeeper Carlotta Regine saved all 23 shots on goal and celebrated her first shutout of the season.

Next win for Almaty
Aisulu Almaty are also continuing to win. On Saturday, the Kazakh side celebrated their fourth win in a row. Lauren Nicholson was the player of the match with a brace in the 3:0 win against Tauron Metropolia Silesia. In the 33rd minute, the forward put her team in front while short-handed, and just 88 seconds later she also scored to make it 2:0. Cassidy Maplethorpe ensured the final score in the 51st minute. With eleven personal points, Maplethorpe is third in the scoring charts. AIS goalkeeper Rachel Seeley celebrated her third shutout of the season. Almaty are second in the table with thirteen points from eight games, while Silesia are ninth and still without a point after five games.
