The Red Bull Hockey Juniors and HC Migross Asiago kept their seasons alive with convincing home wins, cutting their respective series deficits to 2–3. The Juniors routed HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 9–2, with Game 6 set for Sunday in Val Gardena. Asiago defeated HC Meran/o Pircher 6–2, with Game 6 already scheduled for Saturday at 19:00 in Merano.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors delivered a dominant performance in Game 5 of their quarterfinal series against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, cruising to a 9–2 home win. Despite the loss, the South Tyroleans will have another chance to secure their first-ever semifinal berth on home ice on Sunday. The Juniors got off to a dream start, racing to a 4–0 lead within the first 13 minutes. They led 4–1 after the opening period and restored their four-goal advantage just 22 seconds into the second frame. Val Gardena’s defense struggled to contain Salzburg’s high-powered offense, as the Juniors extended their lead to 7–2 by the 48th minute. The game eventually ended in a clear 9–2 victory. Maximilian Wurzer scored the final goal, recording two goals and two assists as the only multi-goal scorer of the game. It was also the first game in this series decided by more than one goal. Game 6 will take place on Sunday at 20:30 in Val Gardena.

Asiago wins second straight game
Ryan Valentini starred in HC Migross Asiago’s convincing 6–2 home win over HC Meran/o Pircher, recording a hat trick and leading his team to its second consecutive victory. The Italians cut the series deficit to 2–3. Filippo Rigoni opened the scoring just three minutes into the game, before Valentini netted his first goal of the night in the 22nd minute. Although Merano managed to pull one back in the 26th minute, Asiago remained the dominant side and steadily extended their lead. They added two more goals in the middle period and another two in the final frame. Asiago now needs two more wins to complete the comeback and advance to the semifinals. Game 6 is set for Saturday at 19:00 in Merano.
