EC Red Bull Salzburg is 2-0 ahead in the "best-of-seven" quarterfinal series against HC TESLA Orli Znojmo. After the 3:1 home win on Wednesday, the Regular Season Champion won the road game 3:2. The Czechs were equal for long stretches in both games, always radiating a lot of danger especially through their top line with Luciani and Prokes. Salzburg always remained patient, paired with a solid defense. Both teams have yet to score a powerplay goal in this series, but were among the top five teams in numeral superiority during regular season. Dominique Heinrich will play his 168th playoff game for EC Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday, as the 31-year-old defender draws level with Matthias Trattnig, who previously held the club record. Heinrich has played in all knockout phases with Salzburg since 08/09 and is currently playing in his 14th postseason. He recoreded 75 playoff points (24G|51A).

Sun, 13.03.2022, 5.30 pm: Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – HC Pustertal Wölfe
„best-of-seven“ series: 2:0
Referees: STERNAT, TRILAR, Durmis, Zgonc. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Besides Salzburg, also Hydro Fehérvár AV19 is still without defeat in the current playoffs of the win2day ICE Hockey League. The Hungarians won both encounters against HC Pustertal Wölfe in commanding fashion (8:1 and 2:6), scoring a total of 14 goals and doubling their goal average from the Regular Season (3.44). They also showed efficient power play (2/4) in the first two postseason games they played with a full lineup. The "Wolves", on the other hand, got off to a bad start after their strong finish in regular season, especially defensively they acted without emphasis and inaccurately. On Friday, the South Tyroleans missed their top scorer Johan Harju, due to sickness. It is not yet clear whether he will be back on Sunday. Fehérvár, however, is especially dangerous at home, winning eight of the last nine games on home ice. HC Pustertal, on the other hand, has never lost two road games in a row since the end of November. The HC Pustertal organizes a public viewing in the Intercable Arena on Sunday with the start of the game at 5.30. Admission is free of charge.

Referees: NIKOLIC K., OFNER, Bärnthaler, Seewald. | >> LIVE ON PULS24 <<
The spusu Vienna Capitals and the EC-KAC are both looking for their second win in the best-of-seven series. In general, the reigning champion is struggling with its offensive performance: Klagenfurt scored only 15 goals in the last eight games. In Vienna, however, things have been going well for Petri Matikainen's team lately, with all three previous duels in Kagran won. Nikolaus Hartl in particular is currently in top form for Vienna: The Austrian scored in both quarterfinal games and has a four-game scoring streak (4G|1A). In total, he has 29 points collected this season.

„best-of-seven“ series: 1:1
Referees: BERNEKER, NIKOLIC M., Martin, Sparer. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
EC GRAND Immo VSV and HK SZ Olimpija are also dueling for the second quarterfinal victory. These two teams have also won road games each. The "Dragons" first 6:4, the "Eagles" on Friday 4:3. Villach thus also took its offensive strength from the regular season - with 3.83 goals per game, VSV was the most dangerous team on the offensive end but is struggling while shorthanded. Ljubljana scored on five of their eight power plays in the first two games - and they continue to have impeccable penalty killing. With Chris Collins out due to injury, VSV coach Rob Daum has been forced to make changes to his lineup. For the Slovenians, Guillaume Leclerc in particular has returned to top form, as the long-time leader in the win2day scorer standings holds three goals and two assists after the two games.
