On Monday all nine Alps Hockey League games will start at 20:00. In the second last round of regular season the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and VEU Feldkirch can get to the playoffs by their own efforts. In Master Round three classics will be played with the top game being second-placed Cortina against leader Pustertal.

Mon, 02.03.2020, 20:00: HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice - HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana

In the 18th Slovenian derby in Alps Hockey League it's about home advantage for quarters. At the moment third-placed Olimpija is two points ahead of Jesenice. After five successive defeats, the steelers found back to winning ways lately. In their wins against Ritten and Asiago they only conceded one goal against. In Ljubljana's last seven win and defeat always alternated, on Saturday they suffered a 1:2 defeat in Cortina. Olimpija won the first two season meeting but Jesenice was the winner in the only Master Round game.

In the meeting of former champions it's also about home advantage for quarters. 4th-placed Ritten is two points ahead of Asiago. It's their 7th meeting this season as they also met in semis for the Italian championship. Tomorrow's game will be played once again without spectators. In Master Round, both teams suffered a defeat on Saturday. Asiago won the last six home games but Ritten took the points when they travelled to Asiago in their last AHL game in December.

The top game of Alps Hockey League takes palce in Cortina but will be once again closed to the public. Pustertal needs just one point to secure the first place and go top-seeded into playoffs. The wolves won their last 12 AHL games against Cortina but they also suffered their only two defeats in Master Round on the road. Cortina won the last six home games and with another win they would secure home advantage for quarters.

Mon, 02.03.2020, 20:00: HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - EHC Lustenau

After suffering five consecutive defeats Lustenau found just against Salzburg back to winning ways. Gherdeina could not take advantage of the Juniors defeats as the fury also lost to Sterzing. With two games to go Gherdeina still has a five-point deficit to the leaders from Salzburg. They have a good record against Lustenau this season with winning all three meetings.

With their win against Gherdeina, Sterzing kept their playoff hopes alive. hey are also having a five-point deficit to Salzburg, though. Now they face a must-win game in Klagenfurt where they lost the first season meeting. It was the only KAC II win against Sterzing in 11 AHL games. The Carinthians have won their last three.

Despite losing their last two, Salzbug holds all the aces in the playoff race. With a win in Vienna, they would qualify for playoffs. The Red Bulls lead 2:1 in wins but lost their first visit to the Caps, 3:4. The Viennese lost their last five.

Fassa won six of their last eight but they just lost the two games against Feldkirch. With two games to go they have a four-point deficit. They are facing another big challenge against Kitzbühel as the Tirolese won their last five. In all nine AHL meeting between Kitzbühel and Fassa the home side always won.

A thrilling Vorarlberg derby takes palce in Dornbirn as the VEU can make playoffs with a win in regulation against local rival Bregenzerwald. While Feldkirch won their last two, ECB suffered three defeats lately. In the previous three season meetings the home side always held the upper hand.
