EC Red Bull Salzburg remains unbeaten after its fourth win2day ICE Hockey League game of the season. The reigning champions beat the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg 6:2 in the PULS 24 live match on Sunday. In the first period, Salzburg's Austrian players were particularly convincing: After Mario Huber made it 1:0 in the seventh minute, Thomas Raffl increased the lead to 3:0 with a brace. The primary assists also came from Austrians. In the middle period, Steven Ovre scored for the Pioneers. Tyler Lewington restored Salzburg's 3-goal lead shortly before the end of the second period. Peter Schneider finally brought die final decision in the third period with a brace. The Red Bulls now lead the table with equal points with HC Pustertal.

Pustertal remains unbeaten
Also still without defeat is HC Pustertal, who prevailed against Steinbach Black Wings Linz on Sunday evening. After a goalless starting third, long-time Black Wings crack Rick Schofield put the Wolves in the lead. The Upper Austrians were able to equalize again in the second period, but the South Tyroleans acted much more efficiently in the following. After former NHL-crack Zach Sill regained the lead for Pustertal, Arvin Atwal provided the preliminary decision in the final period. Schofield finally made the final score of 4:1 with an emptynetter.

Vienna inflicts first defeat on VSV
The spusu Vienna Capitals were the first team to defeat EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV this season. To do so, the Viennese needed a show of strength in their home game. The Caps gained a quick 2-0 lead through Leon Wallner's debut goal and a goal from Niki Hartl. Villach did not let themselves be shaken off and despite being down 2 goals twice, they equalized to 3:3 by the 47th minute. Two of the goals came from Anthony Luciani. In overtime the US American Evan Weinger ensured the decision in favor of the Vienna team.

KAC lands win on home debut
The EC-KAC celebrated its home debut this season with a 7-3 win over Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 on Sunday. The KAC led 2-0 after just over eight minutes before the visitors from Hungary scored for the first time. In the second period, newcomer Jan Mursak - with his second goal of the evening - increased the lead to 3:1. Fehérvár did not let themselves be shaken off yet and once again provided the equalizer. Three KAC goals within a little more than five minutes by Lukas Haudum, Simeon Schwinger and David Maier brought the preliminary decision in the middle third. Klagenfurt finally prevailed 7:3 and thus advanced into the top-6 of the win2day ICE Hockey League.

First win of the season for Bolzano
HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated its first success in the current season after four defeats and its worst start to the season since joining the league. In the "Grande Classico" the South Tyroleans managed a 3-0 victory against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, which is still winless and pointless. Dylan Di Perna opened the scoring for the Foxes in the eighth minute. Defender Joshua Teves added another before Daniel Ablerga made it 3-0 in the 38th minute. It was the first points of the new season for the South Tyroleans.

Gra99ers strengthen offense
The Moser Medical Graz99ers have struck again on the transfer market and signed a new forward with Chris Dodero. The name Dodero is well known in Graz, because with Charlie Dodero his brother already wore the dress of the 99ers. Last year, the forward, who can be used as a center or on the left wing, moved to Europe for the first time. Olimpija Ljubljana signed Dodero and the attacker advanced to one of the top scorers of the Dragons. The new number 55 scored 10 goals and 20 assists for the Slovenians. The newcomer of the Moser Medical Graz99ers has already landed in Graz and will be on the ice with the team for the first time on Monday. Whether he will also make his debut next week depends on the registration formalities.
