Salzburg books big win against Ljubljana

 The Red Bull Hockey Juniors celebrated a big win against HK Olimpija Ljubljana and narrow the gap to the playoff spots. They are only trailng by six points anymore with seven games more on the schedule. HK Olimpja Ljubljana went without their regular Headcoach to Salzburg, the Assistant Coach Matej Hočevar took over the duties until further notice.

The game started on an even level. The Red Bull Hockey Juniors increased the pressure and created the better chances but Robert Kristan did a great job in keeping his goal clear. Only 20 seconds before the end of the first quarter the goalie was beaten for the first time. Hagen Kaisler captured the lead for the ome team after assist of Daniel Wachter. In the second period the home team still controlled the game. Daniel Wachter doubled the lead in the 38th after a hustle situation in front of the net.  In the final period Nico Feldner increased to 3:0 after perpetration work of Kainz and Baltram. The Slovenians didn’t seem to find their rhythm. Bu in the 52nd minute  they succeeded with their first goal. The Juniors did a good job in further defending and Daniel Wachter even recreated the three goals lead in the 57th minute.
