EC Red Bull Salzburg has returned to winning ways after two defeats in a row, as the "Red Bulls" won 2-1 after overtime at EC-KAC, who had a winning streak of four games and won their last home game against the reigning champions 8-1. Adam Payerl (47') equalized Manuel Ganahl's opening goal, Ryan Murphy (62') scored the OT game winner. In the run-up to the game, KAC icon Thomas Koch was honored for his illustrious career and his jersey with the number 18 was pulled under the roof of the arena.

Bolzano takes seventh straight win in Vienna
HCB Südtirol Alperia also won its seventh consecutive game in Vienna, winning 4-2 at the spusu Vienna Capitals thanks to three goals in the final period. The fifth-placed "Foxes" thus consolidated their place in the top six and are now three points ahead of seventh-placed Pustertal. Also because the "Wolves" were defeated at home by HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie, as the Austrians prevailed 6-4 in the Intercable Arena. Two goals in the second half of the middle third gave Innsbruck the decisive advantage, Nick Albano (36' and 52') then increased the score to 5-2 in the meantime. The "Haie" still had to tremble at the end - Ege (56') and Akeson (57') made the game tense again for a short time - but brought their 14th win of the season over time. As a result, Innsbruck moved to within one point of Pustertal - and are just one point outside the top six.

Graz cheers first shutout of the season
The Moser Medical Graz99ers recorded their first shutout victory of the season with a 4-0 away win at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. With 24 saves, goalie Lars Volden went scoreless for the first time this season. Graz built up a two-goal advantage in the first period with goals from Taylor Matson (11') and Anthony Salinitri (13'/SH1) and deserved to win in the end. As a result - and also due to Vienna's defeat - Graz, who are bottom of the table, reduced the gap between themselves and the rivals immediately ahead of them.
