With three points at guest Fribourg-Gottéron, EC Red Bull Salzburg would fix their advancement to the Champions Hockey League Round of 16. With a win after overtime or shootout, Salzburg must hope for a loss of points Ilves Tampere against the Stavanger Oilers. The Salzburgers will be significantly weakened by replacements on Wednesday, but with a young and hungry squad. In addition to convalescents Peter Schneider, Dominique Heinrich, Thomas Raffl, Lukas Schreier and Ty Loney, Mario Huber, Luca Auer, Ali Wukovits and David Kickert (all ill) will also be missing. In the second game of Group F, it's still all to play for for both teams. The currently fourth-placed Stavanger Oilers can still book their ticket for the round of 16 with a win after regular playing time and a simultaneous no score by Salzburg.

Fehérvár and Ljubljana ends first CHL campaign
Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 will definitely play its last game this season in the Champions Hockey League on Wednesday. But after the first three points last week at GKS Katowice, the Hungarians want to follow up at home and finish Group D on the third place. Further, HK SZ Olimpija stops by at EV Zug and plays for its first win this CHL season. Ljubljana has no chance any more to reach knock-out stage.
