Keegan Kanzig was developed in the WHL. In 2013, the defenseman was drafted in the 3rd round by the Calgary Flames. Since the 2015/16 season, Kanzig has gained experience in the AHL, but has played the majority of his career thus far in the ECHL. In 2017/18, Kanzig also won the Brabham Cup with the Florida Everblades, which is awarded in the ECHL for winning the regular season. Last season, Kanzig played eight games in the AHL for the San Diego Gulls, with whom he closed out the preseason.

Keegan Kanzig: "The Red Bulls are a team with a successful history and continue to work on their 'winning culture'. My goal is to win the championship with the Red Bulls and help the team succeed to the best of my ability."

Salzburg's Head Coach Matt McIlvane on the new addition: "We are excited to have him on our team. He is a player with a lot of character and always puts the team first. He plays very physical and always stands up for his teammates. Playing against him is very difficult and he will also be able to help us a lot in the shorthanded game. Keegan is definitely a great addition to our team."
