Salzburg takes another win

On Friday, the EC Red Bull Salzburg extended its winning streak to six after a 3:2 overtime win at Dornbirn Bulldogs with John Hughes hitting the game winner. Further, leader HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a clear 4:0 home-victory against Linz, while the EC-KAC cheered a 3:1 road-win at Bratislava to become Bolzano’s runner-up in standings.

Salzburg extends winning streak
With a 3:2 overtime-win at Dornbirn Bulldogs, the EC Red Bull Salzburg extended its winning streak to six. John Hughes game winner with three minutes left in the overtime gave the Salzburg side the extra point to take fifth place in standings. The “Red Bulls” turned around a one-goal difference thanks to Jack Skille (9.) and Justin Schütz (24.), who scored his first goal for the six-times champion on powerplay. Both Dornbirn goals were scored by Daniel Woger.



Bolzano doubles up at top-spot
With a comfortable 4:0 home-win against the Steinbach Black Wings 1992, bet-at-home ICE Hockey League’s leader HCB Südtirol Alperia doubled up its leading edge ahead of Saturday’s meeting with spusu Vienna Capitals. Bolzano won the third season meeting with the bottom-placed side too, as four different players scored, deciding the game with three unanswered in the last. Justin Fazio posted his first shutout of the season.



Klagenfurt takes second spot in standings
After a 3:1 road-win at iClinic Bratislava Capitals, the EC-KAC climbed to second spot in standings, thanks to another solid defensive performance. League’s newcomer had to take the first defeat under new head coach Peter Draisaitl. With his first ICE goal Niklas Würschl hit the game-winner, while Ryan Culkin scored Bratislava’s consolidation goal in his debut.
