Tolvanen collects fourth shutout
In his 16th game for EC Red Bull Salzburg, Atte Tolvanen recorded his fourth shutout – lowering his goals against average to 1,69. The 26-year-old saved 20 shots – including some great chances by Hjalmarsson, Zusevics or Blood – in his team's 2-0 home win over the Moser Medical Graz99ers. Salzburg benefited from a good start into the middle frame as Lucas Thaler (22.) scored his first goal of the season. Further, the game was more intense, Graz failed to make the most of its chances before the "Red Bulls" cleared it with an empty-netter from Benjamin Nissner (60.). With their fourth league win in a row, the six-time champions moved up to third place in standings.

Klagenfurt‘s Sebastian Dahm concedes no goal against too
A 2-0 home win was also celebrated by EC-KAC, as the "Rotjacken" defeated HC Tesla Orli Znojmo, winning the ninth home game against the Czechs in a row. Goalie Sebastian Dahm recorded his second ICE shutout of the season with 28 saves. Klagenfurt took the lead during a five-minute powerplay occasion – Joshua Brittain received a game misconduct penalty for a check on Matt Fraser – through Steven Strong (34.), who scored his first goal of the season with a wrist shot from the blue line. As the game progressed, Klagenfurt kept Znojmo at bay - and ensured that the Czechs remained scoreless for the first time this season. Manuel Ganahl (60./EN) secured it late with an emptynetter.

Bolzano takes fourth straight home win
HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated its fourth home win in a row with a 3-1 victory over Steinbach Black Wings Linz, as the "Foxes" also celebrated a victory in the second encounter with the "Black Wings". After a goalless opening frame, Angelo Miceli (26.) provided the lead for the home side. Just over ten minutes later, and after he had already missed two great chances, Brett Findlay (35./SH) made it 2-0 in a shorthanded situation, beating Thomas Höneckl with a wrist shot from the right side. In the final period, Keegan Lowe (55.) added another shorthander before Brian Lebler scored the consolation goal with 65 seconds left to cancel out Justin Fazio's second shutout of the season.
