Big home win for Bolzano
Bolzano, without injured Anton Bernard and Mat Clark, had a brilliant start into the home game against Fehervar. Oleksuk went top shelf to open the scoring after five minutes and it became even much better for them. Halfway through the first a Frigo deflection doubled the lead and then Smith added a power play goal. With guest netminder Visentin doing a big mistake, Bolzano had a 4:0 lead and Angelidis finished off a first-period scoring with another goal - 5:0. Rajna replaced Visitin in the middle frame where only a few highlights took palce. Gilbert got the Hungarians on the scoreboard but Michelle Marchetti restored the five-goal lead. This story repeated in the third when Hari pulled one back on power play. However, Bolzano had the last say with Halmo finding the back of the net with a two men advantage.

Zagreb takes two points from Znojmo
Znojmo were the stronger team in the first period, with several chances to open the scoring early on. However, Medvescak were the team who finally broke the deadlock with a little over 11 minutes played – Tero Koskiranta found the puck in space in the Znojmo zone and calmly sent his wrist shot high into the net for 1-0. Orli didn’t need long to respond though, with pressure on in the Medvescak zone Colton Yellow Horn’s shot was too hot for Drew MacIntyre to handle, as it trickled over the line to tie the game. Having been outplayed in the opening period, Medvescak were much the better side in the second. The early pressure was rewarded when Czech forward Tomas Netik was found in front by Sondre Olsen to make it 2-1 with 26 minutes gone. Again however Orli came from behind to tie the game, this time Petr Mrazek the recipient of a pass out in front, and he fired home from the slot with 31:10 played. With the scores level going into the third period, the 2.652 fans in Znojmo enjoyed an end to end 20 minutes as both sides pushed for a winner. The game was however a little scrappy, with neither team really creating clear-cut scoring chances until the final minutes. The best chances arguably fell to the home side, Colton Yellow Horn and Radek Cip especially, but both were denied by MacIntyre. Into Overtime, and Medvescak were more in control of the puck. Their patience was rewarded with the winning goal 1:12 into the extra period, Michael Boivin finding himself free in the Orli zone, and racing through to go high over Schwarz to earn the Croatians the extra point in a valuable road win.

Graz can’t stop Caps
Vienna took over control early but Graz scored first with Daniel Woger making the breakthrough on power play. Just one minute later the Caps turned the game around with a brace by Niki Hartl and Kelsey Tessier. Riley Holzapfel opened the middle frame with his fifth goal of the season and Jerry Pollastrone added a fourth on pp. At the halfway point of the game Daniel Oberkofler pulled one back with a man advantage. Early in the third Pollastrone missed the preliminary decision and on the reverse Rupert Strohmeier made it a one-goal game. MacGregor Sharp ended Graz‘ hopes with seven minutes to go for a 5:3 home win, the 19th in a row.

Red Bulls get next win against Innsbruck
The game at Volksgarten was a mere 39 seconds old when a pass by Alexander Aleardi was decflected into the Innsbruck net for an early Salzburg lead. While Hochkofler and Harris missed opportunities to extend the lead, Jeremie Ouellet-Blain scored on the first real HCI chance. Red Bulls anwered promptly, though. Matthew Generous restored the lead and then Thomas Raffl added a pp goal. As in the first, the visitors scored after the restart with their first chance when Benedikt Schennach found the back of the net from sharp angle. However, Red Bulls extended pressure and Brant Harris restored the two-goal lead with a one timer. With a two men advantage Alexander Rauchenwald put his colours 5:2 up but soon later Ondrej Sedivy reduced the deficit with a shorthanded marker. After a great play with Ryan Duncan and John Hughes, Thomas Raffl rounded off scoring for a 6:3 home win.

Linz helds upper hand against Dornbirn
Dornbirn created the first chance in the opening minute but Florian Janny, who got the nod over Mike Ouzas in the Linz net, stood tall. It was a fast-paced game with good opportunities on both ends. Halfway through the first a Schofield deflection on power play brought the Black Wings lead. It was the Canadian again who doubled the score with another pp goal. With five minutes into the second period Dustin Sylvester got his team on the scoreboard and having the momentum, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc even tied the game at two. Linz had the last say in the second when Kevin Moderer finished a break to restore their lead. After the hosts wasted some chances for a preliminary decision, Dornbirn came back once again with Scott Timmins litting the lamp - 3:3. With five minutes to go Sebastien Piche, who earned four points today, put Linz 4:3 up with a hard slap shot. DEC tried everything in a final push but was not able to equalize again.
