The EC-KAC has strengthened for the final phase of the championship in the win2day ICE Hockey League with the Austrian national player Simeon Schwinger. The forward last played for EHC Olten in Switzerland. He has already played 177 league games with Dornbirn and Vienna.

The agreement between EC-KAC and Simeon Schwinger initially covers the remainder of the 22-23 season, but also includes an option to extend for the coming season.

Simeon Schwinger emerged from the junior division of the Dornbirn Bulldogs, for whom he also made his debut in the first team in September 2017. In total, the winger played 163 games in Austria's top division for his parent club until 2022, scoring 18 goals and providing 32 assists. The Vorarlberg native, who made his senior team debut in April 2021, spent the final phase of last season with the Vienna Capitals. The highlight of Schwinger's career so far was his participation in the 2022 World Championship in Finland, where he played in five of Team Austria's seven games. The 25-year-old played his 25th international game in the red-white-red jersey last Friday against Norway. The forward joins the EC-KAC coming from EHC Olten, for the runner-up of the second Swiss division he came to 35 appearances in 22-23, in which he posted seven points (2G|5A).
