After seven years in Germany, one in Krefeld and six in Augsburg, Scoot Valentine last season came to Bolzano. Before his commitment in Europe, the 32-year-old made 243 appearances in the American Hockey League in the jersey of the Milwaukee Admirals and the Texas Stars.

In his first season in Bolzano, he collected 18 points from 67 games. Especially in the playoffs, the Canadian defenseman has risen to his best form and has also excelled as an assist-giver (his assists for the two winning goals in Final Game 5 and 6 were decisive).

Scott Valentine: "I am overjoyed to return to Bolzano. The team, the crowd and the whole environment welcomed me with open arms during the past season and it was immediately clear to me that it means a great honor to play for HCB. I am absolutely sure that the upcoming season will bring us beautiful moments: the Champions Hockey League will be a fantastic experience and I am already looking forward to the support of our fans when we will play against the best European teams. This way we can show what we are made of and make our mark from the very first weeks. I hardly expect us to continue the winning tradition of Bolzano and go on the hunt for a success in the championship, which we missed by a hair's breadth last year. We still have a score to settle, a job to do and I'm already revved up thinking that we will reunite as a group and start working to achieve our goals".
