  • Both the EC Red Bull Salzburg (2 defeats in a row) and the Steinbach Black Wings 1992 (5 losses) were recently unable to present their strong performance from the start of the season.
  • RBS did not suffer more than two defeats in a row in the previous season. Between March 5th and 13th, the Salzburg side lost four consecutive games. Salzburg recorded its longest losing streak of seven defeats in a row twice: at the league entry in 2004 and across two seasons between 16/17 and 17/18, where four play-off defeats were followed by three failures at the new start of the season.
  • The longest series of defeats for the Linz team since the league was founded is also seven in a row. BWI lost seven times in a row between 09/10 and 10/11 and between February 5 and March 3, 2006.
  • The first duel of the season between these two teams was won by RBS on the road 6:3. It was the 112th duel between these two teams. Salzburg won 62 of them, and the last four games too.
  • Salzburg is still undefeated at home. On the road, the offensive has recently stalled - the "Red Bulls" only scored one goal each in their last two defeats.
