Alps Hockey League | 17.11.2022 | Schedule:
Tue, 17.11.2022, 7.00 pm: EC-KAC Future Team – Steinbach Steel Wings Linz
Referees: BAJT, MEIXNER, Kanyo, Pötscher. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Thursday’s gameday is opened by the duel of the two last-placed teams in the table, as the 14th-ranked EC-KAC Future Team, already playing its 20th game of the season, will face the last-placed Steinbach Steel Wings Linz. Both teams have won only one of their last five games. While the Klagenfurt team is without a win since four games, the Linz team went into the IIHF break with a 4-1 home win. The Upper Austrians can probably rely on newcomer Geoff Kitt for the first time against the EC-KAC Future Team. Both teams have problems with their powerplay this season, KFT (16,2% |#13) and SWL (15,8%|#15) respectively. Klagenfurt won the first meeting of the season on the road with 1:0 after shootout. The home team has won each of the four previous confrontations in competitive games on Klagenfurt ice (total goal difference 26:4).

Tue, 17.11.2022, 7.15 pm: Red Bull Hockey Juniors – Rittner Buam SkyAlps
Referees: BRUNNER, KAINBERGER, Moidl, Seewald J. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors have the opportunity to draw level with the Slovenians on points in the absence of HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, as the reigning vice-champion takes part in the third round of the IIHF Continental Cup from Friday to Sunday. Salzburg recently celebrated five wins in a row - especially at home the young "Red Bulls" are shining: in eight consecutive home games they have always scored, winning seven of them. With the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, however, a great touchstone comes to the Salzburg Eisarena. The South Tyroleans are undefeated since three games and have also won the first season comparison with 6-2. The "Buam" currently have the best power play in the league (26.7%), and with the return of Stefan Quinz and Kevin Fink (recently suspended) and the addition of Tobias Graf, they have a strong line-up at their disposal. Head coach Santeri Heiskanen will have to do without goalkeeper Hayden Hawkey and Leonhard Hasler.

Tue, 17.11.2022, 8.00 pm: Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – EHC Lustenau
Referees: BENVEGNU, STEFENELLI, Brondi, De Zordo. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan played their first game on Thursday after the mutually agreed dissolution of the cooperation with Head Coach Jussi Tupamäki. The responsible persons from Sterzing reacted with it to the negative trend of the last weeks, two points from the last four games. The weeks before the IIHF break went much better for EHC Lustenau, which scored in four of their last five games. The first season comparison on November 1st was won by the "Broncos" after overtime with 1:0 at that time. For the Vorarlberg side, which show the best penalty killing in the AHL with 92.3%, newcomer Niclas Lucenius stepped up with a brace in the last game (5:4 win @FAS).

Tue, 17.11.2022, 8.30 pm: Hockey Unterland Cavaliers – HC Gherdeina valgardena.it
Referees: EGGER T., LAZZERI, Cristeli, Fleischmann. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers want to continue their winning streak also against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it: For five games the newcomer is unbeaten, never got more than two goals against during this series. The first duel of the season also went clearly to the "Cavaliers" with 5-1. With Florian Wieser (13G) and Haarala Santeri (11G) Unterland has two of the most dangerous scorers in its ranks. The "Furie" also goes into the derby with a sense of achievement, before the IIHF break they won 6-1 at home against EC Bregenzerwald. Away, Val Gardena recently won four of its six games. Dangerous is the overnumber game of the "Furie", with 26.2% they show so far the second best powerplay in the league.

Tue, 17.11.2022, 8.30 pm: S.G. Cortina Hafro – EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
Referees: BULOVEC, OREL, Bergant, Telesklav. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
S.G. Cortina Hafro is struggling with a lack of form ahead of the international break, as the Italians remain fifth in the table, but have gone four games without a win. They have conceded at least four goals in each of their last three games. Five goals were conceded in the first season comparison with Kitzbühel, which Cortina lost 3-5. EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, Niklas Wetzl was given to ICE cooperation partner EC iDM Wärmepumpen Villach for the upcoming games, in exchange Johannes Tschurnig will play the next Kitzbühel games, has suffered two defeats before the break. Also, because the "eagles" struggle while shorthanded, with only 68%. Cortina still has a clean sheet in home games against Kitzbühel, winning all five previous duels. The Italians have strengthened during the international break with Gabriele Parini, who was loaned from Asiago.

Tue, 17.11.2022, 8.30 pm: HC Meran/o Pircher – EK Die Zeller Eisbären
Referees: DURCHNER, FAJDIGA, Arlic, Jeram. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
EK Die Zeller Eisbären returns from the international break with a road game at HC Meran/o Pircher. The Salzburg side have won the last four games against the South Tyroleans, dominating the first duel of the season with 9-1. The form of the “Eisbären” fits: Eight of the last nine games were won. Meran has been without a win for two games. Forward Philipp Maurer is no longer available to the Salzburg team, as he moved to the win2day ICE Hockey League to the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg. The “Eisbären” are currently in fourth place in the table and can further consolidate their top-4 ranking with a win. Goalie Max Zimmermann has played a very strong season so far, making twelve appearances and holding a save percentage of 94.5%.
