In the Master Round, the pursuers of table leaders Zell am See are in action on Thursday: Sisak hosts Sterzing, while Salzburg travels to Asiago. In the Qualification Groups, the race for the pre-playoff spots remains tight.

Master Round
KHL Sisak – Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
Sisak suffered a defeat in Tuesday’s top clash against Zell am See and remain in third place. Sterzing have lost all three Master Round games so far but have fond memories of Sisak: on the final matchday of the regular season, the Broncos secured their Top 5 berth there with a shutout. Overall, the South Tyroleans have won five of the previous six head-to-head AHL meetings.

HC Migross Asiago – Red Bull Hockey Juniors
Asiago celebrated their first Master Round victory with an overtime win in Sterzing. After a twelve-day break, the Juniors return to league action. Currently sitting second in the standings, Salzburg hold a four-point advantage over fourth-placed Asiago. Ryan Valentini (Asiago, 67 points) leads the league’s scoring race ahead of Juniors forward Maxim Eliseev (59). The Red Bulls have won two of the three matchups this season.

Qualification Round A
HC Meran/o Pircher – Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
In the tightly contested Qualification Group A, Kitzbühel ranks second, one point behind Cortina, while Meran trail by another two points. The eagles collected two points from their last two games against Unterland. Meran surprised on Tuesday with a clear 4–0 road win in Cortina. Kitzbühel have won the past eight AHL encounters between the teams, including all three this season.

Hockey Unterland Cavaliers – S.G. Cortina Hafro
Although Unterland currently sit at the bottom of the group, they remain well in contention for a pre-playoff berth with four points from three games. Cortina suffered a heavy home loss to Meran on Tuesday but lead the head-to-head series against Unterland 2–1 this season.

Qualification Round B
Rittner Buam SkyAlps – HDD Jesenice
With a narrow 3–2 win in Jesenice on Tuesday, Ritten defended their lead in Group B. Two days later, the return fixture will take place in Klobenstein. The Slovenians currently sit third, level on points with bottom side Bregenzerwald. The season series between Ritten and Jesenice is tied 2–2.

HC Gherdeina valgardena.it – EC Bregenzerwald
Gherdeina are the only unbeaten team across the Qualification Groups. The “Furies” have celebrated two wins and already hold a four-point cushion over last-placed Bregenzerwald. The Vorarlberg side have lost all three outings so far, scoring just two goals while conceding eleven. Gherdeina have won all 14 AHL home games against ECB to date.
