While Graz has already secured a spot in the final with a sweep, the second semifinal series between HC Falkensteiner Pustertal and Olimpija Ljubljana will go to a fifth game, after the Slovenians recorded a 5-4 home win in overtime on Easter Sunday. After three consecutive 3-0 shutout wins, Pustertal conceded five goals on Sunday and suffered their first defeat of the ongoing playoffs. In the best-of-seven semifinal series against Ljubljana, however, they still hold a comfortable 3-1 lead. If they win Tuesday’s fifth home game of the postseason, their first-ever finals berth will be confirmed.

Goaltender Eddie Pasquale last conceded a goal in front of the home crowd in the 18th minute of Game 4 of the quarterfinals against Salzburg. After that, he remained perfect – even on the road – until Easter Sunday, when Rok Kapel scored in the 12th minute for Ljubljana to make it 1-1, ending Pasquale’s remarkable streak of 279 minutes and 17 seconds without conceding. The new league record is now official. Previously, Mikko Strömberg (HCI) held the record with 250 minutes and 18 seconds in 2007, followed by Atte Tolvanen (RBS), who went 224 minutes and 42 seconds without allowing a goal in 2022.
