Alps Hockey League | 31.03.2022 | Semifinal 3
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice - Rittner Buam 7:00 p.m.
Referees: HLAVATY, MOSCHEN, De Zordo, Weiss >>PPV-Stream<<

Rittner Buam bounced back after a narrow opening loss in front of their home crowd against HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice on Tuesday. MacGregor Sharp promptly struck on his return to put the Buam ahead for the first time in this series. But the difference was then made by a strong middle third from the South Tyroleans. Currently, the series between the two teams is running like the one in 2016/17 when Ritten and Jesenice faced each other in the semifinals for the last time. Also then the Buam had to admit defeat in game one and then equalized in the second game. However, the Slovenians would like to avoid a repeat of the result of that series, as they were defeated 1:3 at the end. Jesenice have never made it to the final, although they have reached the semi-finals in every season so far.

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - EHC Lustenau 8:30 pm
Referees: BAJT, LAZZERI, Arlic, Eisl >>PPV-Stream<<

After EHC Lustenau declared themselves "unfit to play" for the first Semifinal game against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, the severely depleted "Stickers" evened the series on Tuesday. Mainly because EHC goalie Erik Hanses recorded 46 saves in that game. For Asiago, this was the first playoff loss of the season. The Yellow-Red also got their only loss in the Master Round in regulation time from the Vorarlbergers. The EHC is in a semifinal for the third time in a row, but they have never managed to make it to the final. Also this year they have the underdog role against the winner of the Master Round. But Lustenau seems to feel comfortable in this role, as they proved on Tuesday.
