League leader EK Die Zeller Eisbären aims for the fifth win in a row against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. Last weekend the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel won with 5:2 against Vipiteno. For the Tyroleans it was the first victory after previously four defeats in a row. The second in the table HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice will face the eight Hockey Unterland Cavaliers on Thursday. Both teams are separated by twelve points in the table. Jesenice was already in action this week on Tuesday in Celje and struggled to a 3:2/SO win at the league newcomer. Before that, the reigning champion lost clearly in Merano with 2:5. Unterland could not win any of the last four games. The South Tyroleans lost to Bregenzerwald, Cortina, Zell am See and Ritten. Also away the team from Neumarkt could not win any of the last four games. Jesenice, on the other hand, is still without a defeat at home. In Unterland´s 2022/23 debut season, they even managed to win two out of four encounters against Jesenice.
