Bolzano defended their top spot in the table with a convincing 6–0 victory in the derby against Innsbruck. The South Tyroleans took a two-goal lead shortly before the first interval and then steadily extended their advantage. Brad McClure scored twice, whilst goalkeeper Marco Costantini recorded his second consecutive shutout.
Linz, the team hot on their heels, also returned to winning ways: the Black Wings defeated the Vienna Capitals 4–1, bringing an end to the latter’s winning run. Brady Shaw and Oskar Maier put them 2–0 up in the first period. Although the Viennese pulled one back, Graham Knott and Shaw again sealed the home victory.
In Carinthia, KAC ended their run of two defeats with a 6–3 win over Fehérvár. The Klagenfurt side built up a clear lead before the Hungarians pulled one back in the final period. Finn Van Ee sealed the final score with an empty-net goal shortly before the end. The KAC thus moved up to third place. Meanwhile, the VSV secured a 4–1 victory over FTC-Telekom and returned to the top ten. Joël Teasdale scored twice for the Villach side.
Salzburg got off to a winning start under new head coach Teemu Levijoki with a 1–0 home victory over Olimpija Ljubljana. Peter Schneider scored the only goal of the match following an assist from Michael Raffl. The Bulls kept a clean sheet for the first time this season and brought Ljubljana’s run of five consecutive wins to an end.
Pustertal defeated the Pioneers Vorarlberg 3–1 and climbed to fifth place. After a goalless first period, Josh Wesley opened the scoring on his return for HCP. The visitors fought back, before Cole Bardreau secured the home win with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
Reigning champions Graz celebrated their third consecutive victory against Milan. The visitors equalised twice, but the 99ers pulled ahead to 4–2 by the second interval and eventually won 5–3. Clay Hanus and Paul Huber each scored a brace.
