Several transfer moves | Kris and Massimo Pietroniro change teams within the league

Several teams in the Alps Hockey League have further strengthened their rosters for the 2026/27 season and made key personnel decisions. Defenseman Kris Pietroniro moves within the league from Cortina to Asiago, while his brother Massimo Pietroniro bolsters Gherdëina’s offense.

KHL Sisak
Sisak has signed 19-year-old forward Filip Svjetličić from KHL Zagreb. Despite his young age, he already brings considerable experience at the senior level and recently impressed with strong scoring numbers. Top prospect Matko Idzan also joins the team. The 17-year-old national team player has already logged significant ice time and underlined his potential with strong offensive performances. Alan Lizatovic will remain with the team as well. After joining just before the transfer deadline, he particularly stood out in the playoffs and is expected to take on a larger role.

HC Migross Asiago
Asiago strengthens its defense with experienced blueliner Kris Pietroniro, who combines defensive reliability with offensive upside. Filippo Rigoni (#19) remains part of the team following a strong season, continuing to provide speed and key offensive contributions. Gabriele Parini will also stay on board, adding stability on the defensive end and valuable experience.

Hockey Club Gherdëina
Gherdëina has been active on the transfer market, signing Massimo Pietroniro. The winger has already played 136 AHL games for Fassa, Meran, and most recently Cortina, recording an impressive 111 points.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
The Broncos extend homegrown player Johannes Gschnitzer, who—despite being only 24 years old—is entering his eighth season with the pro team and has become a key figure. Daniel Soraruf will also remain in Sterzing. The 25-year-old defenseman is set to play his ninth season with the club, for which he has already appeared in 308 games.

Rittner Buam SkyAlps
Rittner Buam have signed 24-year-old Canadian defenseman Dylan Schives, who will play in Europe for the first time and is expected to bolster the blue line.

HC Meran/o Pircher
Jakob Oberhöller, a 20-year-old defenseman trained in Germany, joins Meran and is set to take the next step after strong performances in the IHL.

Hockey Unterland
Thomas Pisetta remains with Hockey Unterland and has developed into an important part of the team thanks to his consistent progress.
