Zell wins derby against Kitzbühel
The EK Zeller Eisbären claimed a 3–2 derby win over Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and climbed to second place in the standings, level on points with leaders Sisak. In front of 2,796 spectators, the opening period remained scoreless. Kitzbühel broke the deadlock on the power play early in the second period, but a quick double strike by Zell in the same frame turned the game around. Kitzbühel responded once more and equalised early in the final period. Four minutes before the end, Alexander Lahoda netted the game-winning goal for Zell, who thus secured their third derby win of the season.

Sisak new league leaders after win in Meran
KHL Sisak celebrated a convincing road victory over HC Meran and can enjoy the top spot in the standings – at least until Saturday. The Croatians got off to a much stronger start and were already up 2–0 after just over ten minutes. Although HC Meran managed to pull one goal back in the opening period, Marijus Dumcius restored the two-goal cushion with his second goal of the night. Vilim Rosandic and Sisak’s defence then saw the game through confidently, withstanding a period of pressure from the hosts.

Jesenice edge past Unterland
HDD Jesenice secured a 3–2 win over the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers on Thursday night. The Slovenian hosts made a flying start, taking a 2–0 lead after just over three minutes and extending it to 3–0 midway through the second period. Hockey Unterland then mounted a comeback, cutting the deficit to 2–3 by the 50th minute. The Cavaliers pushed hard for overtime, but were unable to beat goaltender Matija Ulcar again. With this victory, Jesenice remain in touch with the top ten teams.
