In a tightly contested third semifinal, the Croatian guests ultimately prevailed, taking the series lead for the first time and having the chance to secure match pucks tomorrow, Thursday, at 20:00 (Valcome.tv). Meran had won the first game in Sisak 4-2, followed by a dominant 10-3 victory for the Croatians.

In front of over 1,300 fans at the Meranarena, the South Tyroleans initially took the lead. Just five seconds before the end of the first period, Brayden Sherbinin scored. Sisak, however, remained unfazed and came out of the locker room perfectly: only 14 seconds after the restart, Danila Larionovs equalized. In the 30th minute, the Croatians finally took the lead: Kim Sang Yeob scored after an assist from Tjas Lesnicar, who had also assisted the equalizer.

After that, the game remained a nail-biter. Although Merano had more shots on goal (41:27), Vito Nikolic in the Croatians’ net – replacing the injured Vilim Rosandic – did not concede again. In the 56th minute, Niksa Juric sealed the win for Sisak, and two minutes before the final buzzer, Vito Idzan made it 4-1.
