bet-at-home ICE Hockey League | 01.02.2022 | Schedule:
Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.15 pm: EC Red Bull Salzburg – HC TESLA Orli Znojmo
Referees: FICHTNER, STERNAT, Nothegger, Seewald. | >> Free-Livestream <<
The duel between two of the ICE teams with the highest scoring average takes place in Salzburg, as EC Red Bull Salzburg scores an average of 3.28 goals per game, HC TESLA Orli Znojmo even scores 3.58 times per match. The performance of the two teams was different on Sunday. While the superior leader lost in Dornbirn after shootout, the eighth-placed Czechs once again showed their home strength, giving a strong HCB no chance. Znojmo's road record is capable of improvement, even though it has won three of the last five road games. With 0.88 points per road game, only Linz has an even weaker record. And Salzburg is also very strong at home, taking at least one point in the last ten consecutive home games. Of the three meetings so far this season, Salzburg has won two. In this games, the teams with the fewest penalty minutes (RBS) and the most (ZNO) on average will also meet. There are no changes in the Salzburg line-up, as the convalescents Lucas Thaler, Atte Tolvanen, Alexander Pallestrang and Lukas Schreier are not available.

For the second time this season, the Red Bulls' home game will be dedicated to Wings for Life, the foundation for spinal cord research. The Red Bulls will again play in specially designed jerseys, which will be sold afterwards. All proceeds will go 100% to Wings for Life.

Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.15 pm: EV spusu Vienna Capitals – EC-KAC
Referees: SIEGEL, SMETANA, Gatol, Riecken. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The spusu Vienna Capitals return to championship action after a ten-day break and host EC-KAC. Before the break, the Viennese, which have to give up two of their best scorers, Nicolai Meyer (Olympic participation with Denmark) and Brody Sutter (lower body injury), suffered three defeats in a row. Also against the EC-KAC, to which they lost 0:2 at home on January 18th, because the Viennese did not score in eight PP occasions. Klagenfurt then also got a bit out of step, picking up only one derby win from the last four games. In Vienna, things have always been good for the "Rotjacken" lately, as the last four games in the STEFFL Arena were won, points gained in the last ten. The EC-KAC is still without Jakob Holzer and the long-term injured Nick Petersen, Thomas Koch, Dennis Sticha and Johannes Bischofberger. With Alexander Maxa, Valentin Ploner and Leon Widhalm, Vienna has named three players from the farm team for the duel.

Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.15 pm: Dornbirn Bulldogs – Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: NIKOLIC M., RUETZ, Martin, Sparer. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The Dornbirn Bulldogs and the Steinbach Black Wings Linz will play their penultimate duel against each other, with for both teams, reaching the pre-playoffs is probably out of reach. The Vorarlberg team is in twelfth place, the Upper Austrians in thirteenth. The previous confrontations were exciting, won by the road teams in overtime (DEC) and shootout (BWL) after comebacks in each case. While Linz has not picked up a point in four games since its victory in Dornbirn, the Black Wings are unbeaten in Messestadion for three games. Dornbirn has shown itself strong recently with victories over Klagenfurt and Salzburg. Colton Beck excelled recently against the Red Bulls, scoring all three goals. In 13 of his last 15 games, the Canadian recorded at least one point. Jakob Mitsch is expected to play again for Linz, while Will Pelletier, who has been ill recently, is not yet expected to play.

Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.15 pm: HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie – HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: SCHAUER, ZRNIC, Bärnthaler, Miklic. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
An important duel for both teams in the fight for the participation in the Pre-Playoffs is the one between HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie and HC Pustertal Wölfe. Both teams have suffered defeats recently, as the Tyroleans lost 2:3 in Graz, the South Tyroleans 0:3 at home to Ljubljana, ending a six-game point streak. The "Wolves" are now missing top defender Emil Kristensen (9G|7A), who is participating in the Olympic Games with Denmark. His replacement is the young Finn Vili Laitinen, who will make his debut. The last two meetings were won by the South Tyroleans. Innsbruck hits home ice after four road games (two wins), there last succeeded probably their best game of the season, when Salzburg was defeated 3:1. Mike Huntebrinker, in particular, has been increasingly making his mark on the “Haie” game recently, with his scoring streak currently standing at seven games (2G|8A).

Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.45 pm: HCB Südtirol Alperia – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: BERNEKER, HUBER, Mantovani, Pardatscher. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
After a pointless road trip with defeats in Hungary and the Czech Republic, HCB Südtirol Alperia returns to the Palaonda on the coming matchday. Things have been much better there recently, with points always being taken in the last four games, three of which were won. Against the Moser Medical Graz99ers, the vice-champion wants to get back on the winning track immediately in order to keep the lead on rank seven in the table. On Sunday in Znojmo, the HCB presented itself superior, especially in the second and third periods, but wasted too many chances. With a scoring efficiency of 9.18%, the "Foxes" are only in third last place. The home record against Graz is good, as in the last two games were won, a total of seven of the last ten. The Styrians have shown different form recently, but took an important victory against Innsbruck on Saturday. Especially the penalty killing - with 79,7% not the big strength of the 99ers - worked very well. Kilian Rappold, meanwhile, has left Graz for EK Die Zeller Eisbären, moving to Salzburg on loan.

Tue, 01.02.2022, 7.45 pm: HK SZ Olimpija – EC GRAND Immo VSV
Referees: PIRAGIC, TRILAR, Puff, Zgonc. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The lone top six duel will take place in Ljubljana, as the third in the table HK SZ Olimpija takes on the sixth EC GRAND Immo VSV. After the "Dragons" won their first two games of the season, the "Eagles" celebrated a success at the end of the year. The Slovenians have won their last two games and remained without conceding a goal in Bruneck on Friday for the first time since the end of October. Villach also has self-confidence: On Sunday, the Carinthians prevailed in Linz after a strong comeback, making up for an early 0:3 deficit in a 7:5 win. The Slovenians are still the best PK team in the league (86.2%).
