For the second time this week, S.G. Cortina Hafro and the league-leading Red Bull Hockey Juniors meet. On Tuesday, Salzburg claimed a narrow 2–1 overtime win at home. Cortina has not won any of its last three games and currently sits ninth in the standings. The Juniors, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last seven games and celebrated a 6–3 victory in Kitzbühel on Thursday. Their lead over closest follower Sisak stands at four points.

Sisak hosts Gherdeina
The Croatian side faces tenth-placed HC Gherdeina valgardena.it on Saturday. KHL Sisak suffered a 1–2 home defeat against Asiago on Thursday, ending a four-game winning streak, while Gherdeina beat Jesenice 3–2—its first win after six consecutive losses. The South Tyrolean team also won the first season meeting with Sisak, narrowly edging out a 2–1 victory.

Zell am See aiming for seventh straight win
The hottest team in the league right now is the defending champion EK Die Zeller Eisbären, riding a six-game winning streak. The Pinzgau side has climbed back to third place, sitting eight points behind the top. The situation looks very different for the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers: the last-placed team has won only three of its 18 games so far and also lost the first matchup with Zell am See—albeit narrowly—4–5.

Asiago and Kitzbühel clash in Top-5 battle
Fifth-placed HC Migross Asiago meets fourth-placed Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, with only one point separating the two teams. Kitzbühel saw its six-game winning streak end with a 3–6 home loss to Salzburg on Thursday, while Asiago earned a 2–1 road win in Sisak, securing its second straight victory. The Italian side has collected at least one point in each of its last nine games, winning six of them. However, Asiago dropped the first season matchup against Kitzbühel 3–6.

Struggling Jesenice hosts Ritten
In Saturday’s fifth game, last season’s finalist HDD Jesenice hosts the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. Jesenice has won only one of its last five games and sits 11th in the standings, while Ritten, currently seventh, has earned two wins in its last five outings. Last season, the two teams met in the semifinals, where Jesenice swept the series 4–0. In the current campaign, however, Ritten won the first meeting 3–0.

Broncos vs. Merano as Sunday’s only game
Sunday also features action in the Alps Hockey League, with the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan hosting HC Meran/o Pircher. It’s the matchup of eighth (WSV) versus eleventh (HCM). Merano faces Bregenzerwald at home on Friday before traveling to Sterzing, entering the weekend on a four-game losing streak. The Broncos, meanwhile, have won their last three games, finding their rhythm again after previously enduring eight straight losses. Sterzing won the first season meeting in Merano convincingly, 4–0. The teams also met in preseason, where the Broncos again came out on top, 4–1.
