HCB Südtirol Alperia – FTC-Telekom
League leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia welcome 13th-placed FTC-Telekom. Bolzano have collected 16 points from six games and lead EC-KAC and Milano by one point. On Friday, the South Tyroleans secured an impressive 4:0 win over Klagenfurt in the top-of-the-table clash. FTC-Telekom, meanwhile, claimed a 5:2 victory away to Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in the Hungarian derby. It was their second win in five games, while Bolzano have picked up points in all six of their games so far, losing just once in overtime.

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – Vienna Capitals
Sunday sees a clash between two teams level on nine points. Eighth-placed Villach and seventh-placed Vienna both head into the game following victories on Friday. The VSV opened their home campaign with a 7:2 win over Milano and will now immediately play their second home game of the season. The Capitals have won one of their three away games so far. Last season, Villach won three of the four meetings between the two sides.

EC Red Bull Salzburg – Milano Hockey Club
The matchday gets underway with the clash between Salzburg and Milano. The ten-time champions from Salzburg currently sit 12th with seven points, while league newcomers Milano are third with 15 points. The Italians suffered their second defeat of the season on Friday, losing 4:2 to Villach. Salzburg, meanwhile, secured a 4:1 away win at the Pioneers Vorarlberg to record their second victory of the season.

Milano will already have their latest addition on board for the trip to Salzburg: Diego Kostner. The 34-year-old Italian international spent his entire career in Switzerland, most recently with HC Ambrì-Piotta, where he had played continuously since 2016. His move to Milan was announced on Saturday, and the center is expected to join his new team in Salzburg already on Sunday.

Steinbach Black Wings Linz – EC-KAC
After opening the season with five straight wins, EC-KAC have suffered back-to-back defeats. The KAC lost to Milano on Wednesday before falling 4:0 to league leaders Bolzano on Friday. The second-placed Klagenfurt side now travel to fifth-placed Linz. The Black Wings are currently in good form, having won their last two games and four of their seven games overall. Last season, Klagenfurt won all four meetings between the two teams.

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal – Hydro Fehérvár AV19
Reigning runners-up HC Falkensteiner Pustertal host Fehérvár. The South Tyroleans have won their last three games and sit fourth with 12 points, despite having played just five games. Fehérvár have already played seven games and have three wins to their name. On Friday, however, the Hungarians suffered a 2:5 home defeat to FTC-Telekom in the derby. Pustertal won all four meetings between the teams last season.

Olimpija Ljubljana – Pioneers Vorarlberg
In the sixth game on Sunday, sixth-placed Olimpija Ljubljana host the still pointless Pioneers Vorarlberg. The Slovenian side started the season with two wins but have since picked up just one victory in their last four games. Ljubljana won three of the four meetings with the Pioneers last season.
