In a hard-fought encounter, EC Bregenzerwald were once again able to celebrate in the end, edging out S.G. Cortina Hafro 3–2/SO. The Vorarlberg team took the lead twice—first 1–0 and later 2–1—but Cortina responded both times, forcing overtime and eventually a shootout. In the decisive moment, it was Usko Laaksonen who converted the winning penalty. In the standings, Bregenzerwald remain in fourth place, while Cortina—who had won their previous two games—are eighth after this loss. The teams had already met on October 31, with Bregenzerwald narrowly winning 4–3 in overtime.

Zell am See back on the winning track
For defending champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären, the 4–2 road win against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan marked their first victory after two straight losses. In the standings, the Austrian side climbed to fifth place, while the Broncos recorded their sixth consecutive defeat and are twelfth. Vipiteno got off to a dream start, taking the lead just 44 seconds into the game through Franco Sproviero. The narrow 1–0 advantage lasted until the 28th minute, when Christian Jennes equalized for the defending champions. That goal sparked the turnaround: in the 31st minute, Max Stiegler made it 2–1 for Zell am See, and just three minutes later, the 21-year-old completed his second brace of the season—with Max Wilfan providing the assist on both goals. Four minutes before the end, the Broncos made it 2–3 and briefly reignited hope, but after pulling goaltender Dominik Groh, it was Max Wilfan who sealed the deal with an empty-net goal two minutes left.
