Slovenian teams aim to extend their run

After seven rounds the two Slovenian teams stormed to top of the table. With five wins in a row Jesenice climbed the standings up to the third place. HK Olimpija Ljublana celebrated even more consecutive wind. With a winning streak of six they are on the top of the standings. Both teams aim to extend their streaks in a full scheduled weekend with nine games.

7.10.2017, 17:30 HK Olimpija Ljubljana – EC Bregenzerwald
Referees: BAJT, LAZZERI, Bizalj, Egger
The currently hottest team of the league is hosting the EC Bregenzerwald. Ljubljana won the last six games in Alps Hockey League and captured the lead of the league. The EC Bregenzerwald had a good start into this season, but lost the past three games. They need to capture some points to keep the contact to the midfield.

7.10.2017, 19:00  HC Neumarkt Riwega – EK Zeller Eisbären
Referees: PIANEZZE, STRASSER, De Zordo, Rinker
The HC Neumakrt needed seven games to capture the first points in the new season of Alps Hockey League. Of all teams, they managed to do so against the acting champ Rittner Buam. Neumarkt will also introduce their new American player at this game. Michael and Alex Sullmann will miss the game. The Zeller Eisbären booked a perfect start into the league and leaded the league for a couple of games. But in the last two games they had to take defeats and dropped to the sevenths place of the league.

7.10.2017, 19:30  EC KAC II – HC Gherdeina valgardena.it
Referees: FAJDIGA, SUPPER, Bärnthaler, Miklic
The KAC II is the only team still without points. In average, they receive more than five goals per game. The HC Gherdeina captured three points in six games so far. Gherdeina won the very first game of this season, since that they couldn’t capture further points.

7.10.2017, 20:00  HC Pustertal Wölfe – EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau
Referees: OFNER, PODLESNIK, Giacomozzi, Stefenlli
The HC Pustertal struggled a bit this season and couldn’t follow the performances of last year’s regular season. Recently Pustertal celebrated a 2:1 success against the EC Red Bull Salzburg. For Pustertal Pance will celebrate his comeback. The EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau couldn’t collect points in the last four games. In total, they captured three points in this season. 

7.10.2017, 20:00  Rittner Buam – EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
Referees: LEGA, RUETZ, Terragni, Tschrepitsch
The Rittner Buam didn’t lose a point for five games this season. Against Asiago Hockey they had to take their first defeat. After that, they needed an overtime to overcome the HC Neumarkt Riwega. The EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is currently in the midfield of the standings. In the past game they had to take a clear 1:8 defeat against Jesenice.

7.10.2017, 20:00 HC Fassa Falcons – Migross Supermercati Asiago
Referees: MISCHIATTI, VIRTA, Basso, Wiest
Asiago is on a run. They recently booked four consecutive wins and were the first team who booked a win against the Rittner Buam. Last game Asiago won against the EK Zeller Eisbären. Also the Fassa Falcons won their last game against the Zeller Eisbären. In total the Falcons captured eight points so far.
 
7.10.2017, 20:30 S.G. Cortina Hafro – HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice
Referees: KUCHER, LESNIAK, Holzer, Snoj
Cortina had a very good start into the season, but before the last win against Bregenzerwald, they had to take a 0:3 defeat against Ljubljana. But Jesenice is hot, they only had to take a defeat in their very first game. Since that, they won all their game and are already on the third place of the standings.
 
7.10.2017, WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan – FBI VEU Feldkirch
Referees: MOSCHEN, WIDMANN, Kainberger, Rigoni
The Sterzing Broncos are on a run. In the last two games they scored 15 goals and received only one. After six games they captured already 14 points. Against Feldkirch with  Kofler and Hackhofer some Sterzing players might not be able to play.  But also Feldkirch recently booked good results. After the 1:0 against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, they celebrated a 9:2 blowout against Gherdeina. 
 
8.10.2017, 18:00 HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice – EC Bregenzerwald
Referees: DURCHNER, LENDL, Legat, Libiseller
Jesenice and Bregenzerwald are on a full schedule this weekend. After their games on Saturday, they face each other on Sunday. The favorite is Jesenice, as they only lost one game so far.
