Referees: HRONSKY, ZRNIC, Durmis, Hribar. | >> Sky Sport Austria << | >> DIGI Sport <<
“best-of-7” quarterfinal series: 0:3

  • The spusu Vienna Capitals took the first match puck in the "best-of-7" quarterfinal series against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 with a 1-0 home win on Tuesday.
  • Vienna could be the first team to reach the semifinals as the fourth seed after the pick round since the live pick was established.
  • VIC has always reached the semifinals in the last three seasons - 2019/20 excluded due to early season-ending.
  • AVS also faces elimination in the quarterfinals in its sixth playoff appearance.
  • In the playoffs, AVS is lacking the ability to score goals: With 3,4 goals per game, the Hungarians were still the most goal-hungry team in the league in the first phase of regular season. Already in the pick round, the scoring average dropped to 3,1. In the playoffs, AVS has scored only one goal per game so far.
  • Benjamin Nissner scored the game-winner for VIC in each of the last two meetings. He holds a total of 23 points (11G|12A).
  • VIC has been the only team to blow a 3-0 series lead: Linz achieved this historic turnaround in 2010.
  • As this encounter is a deciding game, there will be no reduction to three field players from the second overtime onwards. Until the decisive goal is scored, overtime will be played five on five.

Fr, 19.03.2021, 7.15 pm: Dornbirn Bulldogs (6) - EC Red Bull Salzburg (3)
Referees: OFNER, PIRAGIC, Pardatscher, Seewald. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
“best-of-7” quarterfinal series: 2:1

  • EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated its first playoff win of the season on Tuesday with a 4-1 home victory and celebrated the first victory in the "best-of-7" series against the Dornbirn Bulldogs.
  • So far in this series, the team that scored the first goal has always won.
  • DEC opened the first home game in this series brilliantly, ahead 3-0 after 7,5 minutes.
  • The last five games in which Thomas Raffl scored a goal were won by RBS.
  • William Rapuzzi, Dornbirn's leading scorer (20G|31A), is eligible to play again after his suspension.
  • Twice already the DEC gave away a 2-0 series lead in the quarterfinals.
  • Twice so far, RBS turned around a playoff series after trailing 0-2.

Fr, 19.03.2021, 7.30 pm: EC GRAND Immo VSV (8) - EC-KAC (2)
Referees: BERNEKER, SMETANA, Bärnthaler, Zgonc. | >> Kostenloster Live-Stream auf PULS24 <<
“best-of-7” quarterfinal series: 1:2

  • The EC-KAC regained the series lead against EC GRAND Immo VSV with a 3:2 home win on Tuesday.
  • Matt Fraser scored his second postseason brace for the "Rotjacken" in this game and thus advanced to bet-at-home's top performer. He now has four goals and is the most successful scorer in these playoffs so far.
  • With 88.9%, the KAC is the best team in the PK (9/1) in the playoffs.
  • The KAC has won 17 of its 25 away games this season.
  • The runner-up after the intermediate round has always qualified for the semifinals since the live pick was established.
  • VSV has trailed 1:2 in "best-of-7" series ten times in its club history, and only once did the “Adler” still manage to win the respective series. In six of these nine cases, Villach also failed to pick up another win after a 1:2 deficit.
  • In addition to the long-term injured Daniel Wachter, Martin Urbanek, Benedikt Wohlfahrt and Christof Wappis, VSV's goalkeeper Jakub Sedlacek is also unavailable. There is also a big question mark over the use of Renars Krastenbergs. Benjamin Lanzinger has already resumed training with the team, but a start tomorrow is still too early. Defender Josef Hrabal will return to the lineup after serving his suspension. Philipp Kreuzer, on the other hand, could make his comeback after an eight-week injury layoff.
  • The “Rotjacken” will miss three long-term injured players David Fischer, Paul Postma and Dennis Sticha. Martin Schumnig, on the other hand, returned to ice training this week.

“best-of-7” quarterfinal series: 1:2

  • HCB Südtirol Alperia took the lead in the "best-of-7" quarterfinal series with a 2-1 home win on Tuesday.
  • Game three of this series was the first duel in the 2021 playoffs to be decided in overtime.
  • HCB has only conceded one overtime goal (1/8) in the current playoffs.
  • In addition, HCB has the best PP in the league (23%).
  • Both starting goalies - Jared Coreau (BRC) and Leland Irving (HCB) - own a save percentage of over 93% in the postseason and have significantly increased their averages compared to the entire season.
  • The winner after the intermediate round has always qualified for the semifinals since the live pick was established.
