Steinbach Black Wings Linz - Moser Medical Graz99ers
PULS 24 will broadcast the game between Linz and Graz live on Sunday from 17:05. The game can also be seen in the livestream on www.joyn.at. The team in fourth place in the table after the Regular Season from Upper Austria was not able to choose its opponent for the quarter-finals and will therefore face the fifth-placed Styrians. A duel at eye level is to be expected, as both teams have won two direct season duels so far - with the home team always winning. The only quarter-final series between these two teams to date went to Graz in 2019 (4:2). It was the last time the 99ers made it to the semi-finals. They met in the pre-playoffs in 2023, with Linz won (2:1).

EC Red Bull Salzburg - Hydro Fehérvár AV19
Salzburg chose Fehérvár as their opponent for the playoff pick. The reigning champions won all four season duels and did not lost a single point. The defeat in their last encounter a few days ago - in the final round of the Regular Season - even saw the Hungarians slip out of the top six. The Red Bulls have also won the three play-off series to date (2019: 4:2, 2022: 4:0, 2023: 4:0). However, Fehérvár will travel to Salzburg with a great sense of achievement: on Friday, they narrowly beat Vienna 3:2 in the decisive pre-playoff game. However, advancing against Salzburg will be a difficult task for the Hungarians, as the Red Bulls have won 81% of their play-off series so far - the highest score of any team in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Fehérvár are in the quarter-finals for the ninth time in total. So far, they have always lost in this round, except in 2022, when they made it to the final, where they lost 0:4 to Salzburg.

EC-KAC - HC Pustertal
Regular season champion EC-KAC had the first pick and chose HC Pustertal as their opponent. The ninth-placed team in the Regular Seaosn qualified for the quarter-finals of the ICE Hockey League for the third time in four seasons thanks to a 2:0 series win over Ljubljana in the pre-playoffs. Last season, the two teams even met in the semi-finals, with Klagenfurt winning 4:0. It was the only playoff series between the two teams to date. This season, both teams have won two matches each. Pustertal has played a total of four playoff series so far and won two of them. The KAC is in second place behind Salzburg in this statistic (67%) and has only been beaten in 15 of 46 series so far.

HCB Südtirol Alperia - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
Moreover, Bolzano and Villach will face each other in the quarter-finals. The South Tyroleans still had two options when picking their quarter-final opponents and took the VSV. Bolzano won the first three meetings this season - one of them in the shootout. Villach hit back with a win in the last duel. There have also been two play-off series between these two teams so far, both of which went to Bolzano. In 2014, the “Foxes” prevailed 3:1 in the semi-final and were crowned champions for the first time. Last season, Bolzano won 4:1 in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, they finally lost to Salzburg in a dramatic deciding game 2:3 after overtime.
