Just like last season, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan managed a sweep in the quarter-finals. The team from Sterzing, which only qualified via the pre-playoffs, also won its fourth clash with Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel on Saturday and is the first team to reach the semi-finals. After a goalless first period, the home side took the lead through Nick Campoli (38'). In the third period, the visitors from Tyrol equalised through Tim Geifes, but Sterzing went ahead again just three minutes later with a goal from Sanvido. The Broncos managed to hold on to this narrow lead.

The Rittner Buam SkyAlps celebrated a clear 5:2 win at HC Meran/o Pircher in front of 1,300 spectators on Saturday. Captain Simon Kostner scored in the 15th minute in the powerplay, providing the only goal in the first period. In the middle period, the visitors pulled away to 5:0 within seven minutes - the game was decided. Meran scored at least two goals in the final minutes. The reigning champions thus made it 3:1 in the best-of-7 quarter-final series and can advance to the semi-finals in front of their home crowd on Tuesday.

After Hafro Cortina Hockey had lost the first three games of the quarter-final series against Jesenice, the Italians celebrated a clear 6:1 home win on Saturday. Although Olli Valtola gave the visitors an early lead, Cortina turned the game in their favour in the first period. After the restart, the blue-and-whites took care of the preliminary decision, pulling away to 6:1 by the 36th minute. It stayed that way until the final buzzer, Riccardo Lacedelli scored a brace. The fifth game continues in Slovenia on Tuesday.
