On Saturday all 18 teams of the Alps Hockey League are in action. Leader Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan wants to remain top of the league after the duel with VEU Feldkirch. The EC "Die Adler" Kitzbühel, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and S.G. Cortina Hafro want to keep their white vest next to the Broncos. Between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and the EC-KAC II, the second duel takes place within 48 hours. In Klagenfurt, the Italians were able to win with 4:3 SO on Thursday. Last year's finalists HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana and the HC Pustertal Wölfe want to continue their upward trend with the third win in a row.

Last season, the Broncos were the better team in the direct duels. They could win both games with the VEU.

The current form also speaks for the guests. HDD is currently in fourth place with two wins out of two games. EKZ, however, has lost two games, one after extra time.

The guests from Asiago won the match 4:3 after shootout. This time, the Italians are the hosts and want to conquer the second victory against the second-placed from Carinthia. If the KAC II fight back and win at Asiago, it would be the first victory against Asiago in the history of the AHL.
