Oliver Setzinger (#91) of Moser Medical Graz99ers was involved in an incident deemed as Fighting (IIHF Rule 141) in the home-game against spusu Vienna Capitals on Friday, March 1st 2019, time 36:44. The video evidence was sent to the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Player Safety Committee (PSC), which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 1 - 'Careless'. According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga PSC, player Oliver Setzinger (#91) of Moser Medical Graz 99ers, will receive supplementary discipline under rule 141 – Fighting.

On March 1st in Graz, an incident occurred deemed as an 'aggressor' of a fight, involving (#91) Oliver Setzinger. The incident was sent to the EBEL PSC and determined that supplementary discipline is required under category 1. It was taken into consideration, Oliver Setzinger had a probable cause to be upset after being slew-footed immediately before, by spusu Vienna Capitals, (#90) Kelsey Tessier. However at no time is a player allowed to take the law into his own means with an illegal tactic.
Immediately following a previous incident between Oliver Setzinger and Kelsey Tessier - Oliver Setzinger directly skated at and engaged Kelsey Tessier. Kelsey Tessier did raise his stick in a horizontal manner immediately before Oliver Setzinger engaged him, proving Kelsey Tessier must know and did know, that after a slew-foot action he did, an opposing player may engage him. Non willing to engage further, Kelsey Tessier did nothing illegal within the altercation. The reason for supplementary discipline is Oliver Setzinger did engage a non-willing combatant with multiple punches directly to the head. This is a form of contact to the head, when the opposing player is not engaged and considered recklessly endangering. It is considered an aggressor action, defined as a player who continues to throw punches in an attempt to inflict punishment on his opponent who is in a defenseless position or who is an unwilling combatant. Effective immediately, Oliver Setzinger is suspended for 1 game.
