Alps Hockey League leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice celebrated a 2-1 overtime win in Friday's lone game against BEMER VEU Feldkirch, with Erik Svetina tying the game in the third and taking the extra point in the overtime.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice scored again in the seventh game of the season - and cheered with the 2-1 home victory against BEMER VEU Feldkirch after overtime also the sixth win in a row. The Slovenians remain top of the Alps Hockey League, while the Vorarlberg side - after their fourth defeat in a row - remain in 16th place. VEU goalie Alex Caffi kept his sheet clean in the first period, stopping eleven shots on goal. Also in the second period the home team struggled on the offensive end, while the guests took the lead through Anton Trastasenkovs' third goal of the season (25.). The Slovenians went strong for the equalizer in the last and Erik Svetina rewarded his colors with the goal for 1-1 in the 49th minute. Svetina scored the decisive goal in overtime too, collecting his second brace in a row.
