With 57-year-old Swede Patric Wener, Kitzbühel have brought in an experienced coach. The Klagenfurt-based coach has already worked with numerous teams in various leagues throughout his coaching career. He celebrated his biggest successes as assistant coach of EC Red Bull Salzburg, when he won the predecessor of the Champions Hockey League with the club in 2012. He also spent two years as assistant coach with EC-KAC.

In 2018, Wener moved to Denmark to join the Herlev Eagles. He spent five years as head coach there, managing not only to keep the team competitive despite limited financial resources, but also to develop several young talents. Most recently, he worked as assistant coach with ESV Kaufbeuren in the DEL2. Now, he takes over as head coach of Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel.
The coaching staff for the new season is completed by Roni Sener. He worked as assistant coach of a Swedish U18 team and was set to take over as head coach of the same team this season. However, when the opportunity in Kitzbühel arose, he did not hesitate for long.

Paul Prast stays with Ritten
