Defenseman Bence Sziranyi stays at Fehervar AV19. The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced with goalie Hannu Toivonen (FIN), the defensemen Jonathan Carlsson (SWE) and Florian Iberer (AUT) and the forwards Brock Higgs and Brock Nixon (both CAN) five new players. Plus: Goalie Rene Swette switches from Villach to Innsbruck.

Bence Sziranyi will defend for Fehervar AV19 also in the upcoming season. The 29-years old defenseman made for the Hungarians since the 2013/14-season already 205 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-games and scored 63 points (16G/47A).
 
Five new players at Graz
Hannu Toivonen will be the new number 1 goalie at Moser Medical Graz99ers in the upcoming season! The 32-years old goalie played between 2005 and 2008 totally 61 times in the NHL for the Boston Bruins bzw. St. Loius Blues. Besides he made already 245 ganes in the American Hockey League, played in Sweden and Finland, where he also spend the last three years at Vaasan Sport and Ilves. For Ilves Toivonen made past season 32 games in the Finish Liiga and had a save% of 91,3 and GAA of 2.48.
 
Austrian defenseman Florian Iberer returns after six years in his home-town Graz. The 32-years old defenseman played already until 2005 and from 2009 to 2011 for the Moser Medical Graz99ers. Besides he defended for EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz, EC-KAC (Champion 2013) and the UPC Vienna Capitals in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and scored 195 points from totally 476 games. Last season the Styrian spend overseas at Reading Royals. For the Royals the Austrian made 2016/17 42 points (9G/33A, Plus-Minus: +21) from 76 games in the East Cost Hockey League.
 
New at Graz is also defenseman Jonathan Carlsson. The Swede spend most of his career so far in his home-county, played inter alia 261 SHL-games, in which he made 14 points. 2012 the 28-years old defenseman was Champion with Brynäs in Sweden. During the last season he returned from overseas to Europe and became right away Champion with HC Banska Bystrica in Slovakia.
 
Canadian forward Brock Higgs switched during the past season for the first time to Europe and celebrated right away with HC Banska Bystrica the title in Slovakia. For Bystrica the forward made 28 points (13G/15A) from 27 games. Already in the East Cost Hockey League the Forward was a reliable scorer.
 
With Brock Nixon another Champion comes to Graz: The Canadian Forward won 2016 and 2017 the title in Denmark with Esbjerg Energy. For the Denish club Nixon made in two years 113 points from 127 games. Besides he played with Esbjerg in the Champions Hockey League.
 
Furthermore the Styrians extended the contract with Austrian defenseman Clemens Unterweger.
 
Also goalie-Coach Jussi Parkkila continues his work at Graz.
 
Swette new goalie at Innsbruck
Patrik Nachvatal and Rene Swette will be the goalies of HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ 2017/18. Swette played already for EC-KAC (Champion 2009 and 2013) and past season for EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz and EC VSV in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Besides the Austrian also made some games for Dresdner Eislöwen 2016/17.
