Székesfehérvár inks Chris Brown

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has signed Chris Brown for the new season in the win2day ICE Hockey League, with the US-American forward has played in the DEL for most of the past seven seasons. The Hungarians also announced that they have mutually agreed to terminate their contract with Nàtàn Vertes.

Further the HC TIWAG Innsbruck and 18-year-old forward Sebastian Weidacher have agreed on a long-term contract.

Chris Brown started the past season with HC Slovan Bratislava (14G|6A) before moving to the Schwenninger Wild Wings, with whom he was eliminated in game seven against Straubing in the quarterfinals. Between 2017 and 2023, the 33-year-old played for Iserlohn and Nuremberg in the DEL, making a total of 305 games. Before that, he also played NHL games (23) with the Washington Capitals.

Nátán Vértes and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 have decided to terminate their contract by mutual agreement. The now 23-year-old forward returned to his home country from America in 2022 and immediately made it into the ICE squad in his first year as a professional. In the past two seasons, he played a total of 72 ICE games and scored 18 points.
