Club reacts to the start of the season
With four wins from eleven games, Salzburg sit 12th with 13 points. After Friday's home loss to the Steinbach Black Wings Linz, the club's management made the call. "The performances so far this season do not match our expectations. That is why we decided to make a change," said Helmut Schlögl, Managing Director Pro. "We are very grateful to all three coaches for their commitment and wish them all the best for the future."

In-house solution with a Finnish duo
With Levijoki, the club turns to a coach from within its own organization. The Finn previously led the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in the Alps Hockey League. His countryman Ilkka Pakarinen, who has worked with the Juniors for more than four years, joins him as assistant coach. Letang had only arrived in Salzburg in the summer. The 51-year-old Canadian spent many years coaching in the OHL and took over the Blue Devils Weiden in the DEL2 as head coach last spring. Morgan was also in his first season in Salzburg, while Maglio was in his second.

Debut against Ljubljana
Levijoki will make his debut behind the bench on Wednesday when Salzburg host third-placed Olimpija Ljubljana. Next up for the Red Bulls are a road game in Innsbruck on Friday and a home game against the Pioneers Vorarlberg on Sunday.
