Veteran Thomas Raffl once again took responsibility when it mattered in the past season - not only with the equalizer in the seventh final game against Bolzano, in the playoffs he scored four goals and five assists - and remains one of the most physically striking players in the league. Raffl played his 12th season with the Red Bulls and celebrated five championship titles with them (another one in 2006 with Villach).

Peter Schneider came to Salzburg from the Czech top league two years ago, won the ICE Hockey League championship title outright with the Red Bulls and was also awarded the league's Regular Season MVP. In his second season with the Red Bulls, 2022/23, the forward was again Salzburg's top scorer with 25 goals and 28 assists in 62 games (including playoffs) and scored the most goals on the Salzburg team in the playoff with nine.

Mario Huber made perhaps the biggest leap in development on the Salzburg team last season. The forward played by far the best season of his career and was the Red Bulls' second-best player with 25 goals and 27 assists in 62 games (including playoffs).

Wallner returns to Vienna
The spusu Vienna Capitals signed Leon Wallner. The 20-year-old forward thus returns to his hometown, where he also started his hockey career. The seven-time national team player spent the past five years in Sweden with Södertälje SK.

Kerber stays in Innsbruck
At the HC TIWAG Innsbruck, the contract of Noah Kerber has been extended. The 20-year-old native of Tyrol was on the ice 22 times for the Sharks in the past season.
