On Tuesday the EC-KAC captured the lead of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga with its sixth consecutive win. While the spusu Vienna Capitals moved to third place, the Moser Medical Graz 99ers suffered a defeat at Fehervar AV19.

The EC-KAC captured the lead in standings with a 6:4 home win against Dornbirn Bulldogs. While the Carinthians gained their sixth consecutive win, the Bulldogs suffered their eight straight road defeat. After being down three times during this game, the EC-KAC turned the game with two goals on double powerplay at the halfway of the last period. Fehervar AV19 celebrated a 3:1 home win against leader Moser Medical Graz 99ers. The Austrians suffered their first defeat against the Hungarians this season. After a non-goal opening frame, Andrew Sarauer and Daniel Szabo gave the red devils a two-goal lead within 25 seconds early in the second. Dwight King halved the deficit for the guests later this period. Huge saves of MacMillen Carruth and a third goal by Janos Hari secured Fehervar’s win in the end.

After two consecutive losses past weekend, the spusu Vienna Capitals crowed out HCB Südtirol Alperia from third place in standings. The Viennese booked a 5:2 home win against the reigning champion. The Italian side lost its fourth game in a row. The game was tied at one after the first but then Rotter and Holzapfel gave the Austrians a comfortable lead. Despite Bozen pulling one back, Vienna was not in trouble and made the game safe with two more goals.

The EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz had its third shutout this season while gaining a 5:0 road win against bottom-placed EC Panaceo VSV. After Brian Lebler, who scored twice this game, gave the guest a quick lead after 36 seconds, the upper Austrians added two more each further frame and made the game safe on an early stage.

In their fourth consecutive victory in front of their home crowed the hosts benefited from a strong opening frame.
