EC Bregenzerwald - EK Die Zeller Eisbären
The Zell Eisbären started the quarter-final series against Bregenzerwald with a 3:1 home win. After the Pinzgau team had already led by three goals, the visitors scored their first goal against the EKZ this season - the first three season meetings each ended with a shutout for the regular season winners. While the Vorarlberg team has won its last six home games, Zell am See has been victorious six times away on the road. The Salzburg team won six of the eleven AHL duels in Dornbirn.

HC Meran/o Pircher - Rittner Buam SkyAlps
The Rittner Buam SkyAlps won the first game against Meran 3:0, with goalie Colin Furlong saving all 41 shots on goal. Simon Kostner was involved in all three goals (1G, 2A). The Ritten captain recorded the third most playoff points in league history (44) - ahead of him are Tommaso Traversa (57) and Eric Pance (45). While Merano has recently celebrated four home victories, the reigning AHL champions have only won one of their last six away games. Of the five AHL duels in Merano so far, the eagles have come out on top three times.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan - Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan provided the only away win on the first quarter-final matchday. Although Kitzbühel had more shots on goal, they trailed for long stretches of the game. Following the Broncos' 5:4 win, the series now switches to South Tyrol. Kitzbühel won the only duel of the season so far in Sterzing 3:0. The nine games before that all went to the hosts.

S.G. Cortina Hafro - SIJ Acroni Jesenice
The first clash between Jesenice and Cortina went into over time, with Jasa Jenko scoring after 70 minutes to secure the home win. The Italians were unable to reward themselves for a good performance and now want to equalise in front of their home crowd. The Blue & Whites have won just one of their last six home games, while Jesenice have suffered three defeats in four away games in the Master Round. The home side has won two of their three encounters in Cortina so far this season.
