With eight games, the third last round in the Master and Qualification Round is scheduled for Saturday. Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey was the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals on Thursday. With the Rittner Buam another team could follow on Saturday. In the Qualifiaction Round, with the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors already two teams are qualified for the Pre-Playoffs. Other teams will have the chance to qualify on Saturday.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice got back on track on Thursday with a clear 7:2 win at Rittner Buam. In the table they are still on third place. However, they are only one point ahead of fourth-placed EHC Lustenau. The team from Vorarlberg won against SHC Fassa Falcons with 5:3. In the first meeting of the Master Round, EHC narrowly prevailed with 5:4. Both teams can not yet fix the early playoff entry on Saturday.

Last year's finalist Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey became the first team to qualify for the Playoffs on Thursday. They are also hard to displace from first place in the table three matchdays before the end of the Master Round. A point against the second placed, Rittner Buam, would be enough to enter the postseason as the top-seeded team. The Buam, in turn, are only four points ahead of fifth-place Cortina. However, with a win after regular playing time against Asiago and at the same time a defeat after 60 minutes by Cortina, they could already clinch a playoff spot on Saturday.

The SHC Fassa Falcons still wait for a win in the Master Round. On Saturday they play against S.G. Cortina Hafro Hockey, who as fifth in the table is currently outside the direct playoff places but only two points behind fourth in the table Lustenau. With three wins from the last four games, Cortina is currently in very good form. On Thursday, they only narrowly lost with 1:2 OT in against Asiago. In the H2H with Fassa, Cortina won all three duels.

The Tyroleans are two rounds before the end of Qualification Round A already eight points behind the table third Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. A win against the Silver Caps and against the Steel Wings is a basic requirement for Meran/o to still have a chance for the pre-playoffs. Linz has a much better chance of making the pre-playoffs. As fourth in the table, they are only one point behind the third-placed team from Zell am See. Against HCM, SWL won all previous duels by a narrow margin.

The BEMER VEU Feldkirch is on the best way to reach the pre-playoffs. As second in the table, however, they are only one point ahead of fourth-place Steel Wings Linz. The Vienna Capitals Silver are at the bottom of the table in Qualification Round B. For the Viennese it will be the second home game within 24 hours. On Friday, Meran/o will be the guest in the Steffl Arena. The Silver Caps and Feldkirch have faced each other three times so far this season. In two encounters VEU kept the upper hand.
