Third straight shutout for Jesenice at home

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice celebrated a shutout victory also in the third home game of the new Alps Hockey League season and is on home ice since 180 minutes without conceding a goal, as the second-placed team from Slovenia defeated EC Bregenzerwald 6-0.

Goalie Urban Avsenik led HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice to their fourth win of the season in his first outing of the season and collected a shutout straight away. The goalkeeper stopped all 23 shots on goal and ensured that the Slovenians did not concede a goal in their third home game. Offensively, the team led by league top scorer Eric Pance also showed a strong performance: Pance himself recorded a brace, extending his goal-scoring streak since the start of the season and scoring a brace for the third time this season. Ziga Jezovsek also scored two goals. The Slovenians were already ahead after 21 minutes and controlled the game from the start. The Vorarlberg side remained without a point for the first time this season.
