Thomas Hundertpfund came through every level of EC-KAC’s youth system and made his debut for his hometown club’s senior team in November 2006 at just 16 years of age. From the 2008/09 season onward, the forward became a regular member of the Red Jackets’ professional roster, representing the club continuously ever since, except for one season with Timrå IK in Sweden.

With the KAC, Thomas Hundertpfund has appeared in nine win2day ICE Hockey League finals, resulting in Klagenfurt championship titles in 2009, 2013, 2019 and 2021. Appointed captain in 2023, the homegrown player has long since become a club icon: no other player in the history of EC-KAC has played more league games for the record champions than him. Thomas Koch (862) and Mario Schaden (828) are the closest behind his current total of 959 league appearances.

After suffering a serious lower-body injury in December, Thomas Hundertpfund is currently in the sixth month of his rehabilitation process. At the beginning of May, he returned to the ice for light skating sessions, and the recovery process so far gives reason for optimism regarding a full return by the start of the upcoming season.

Goalie Colin Furlong returns to Pustertal
33-year-old goaltender Colin Furlong, who was part of Italy’s roster at this year’s World Championship, is returning to HC Falkensteiner Pustertal. He previously played for the South Tyroleans in the Alps Hockey League from 2018 to 2021 before spending two seasons with Val Gardena. Over the past three seasons, Furlong played for Ritten.

Fehérvár signs goalie Béni Halász
24-year-old netminder Béni Halász returns to Europe after six years in the United States, where he played in the NAHL, NCAA and ECHL. The Hungarian goalie will continue his career with Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in his home country. Before moving to North America, Halász spent several years in the youth system of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz.

Bine Mašič remains with Ljubljana
For the 23-year-old defenseman Bine Mašič, it will be his third season with Olimpija Ljubljana. In 106 league games so far, the Slovenian has recorded an impressive 63 points.
