Joshua Brittain (#13) of Tesla Orli Znojmo, time 31:04 was involved in an incident deemed as Charging (IIHF Rule 42). The video evidence was sent to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 2 - 'Reckless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, Joshua Brittain (#13) of Tesla Orli Znojmo, will receive supplementary discipline under rule 48 – Illegal Check to the Head or Neck. On Sunday, November 21st in Klagenfurt, Znojmo player #13 Joshua Brittain was penalized with a 5/GM for making an illegal check on KAC forward, #90 Matthew Fraser.

As the video shows, Fraser takes a back hand shot, while approaching the ZNO net, causing a rebound, which Fraser has to quickly adjust to a forehand body stance, in order to play the puck again. With Brittain approaching from the high slot area, he makes a body check, delivering a high, forceful check, that makes the head the main point of contact, on a check where such head contact is deemed avoidable.

This is an illegal check to the head, causing an apparent injury. It is important to note, the Fraser's head was the main point of contact on the check. Brittain left shoulder makes substantial contact, as the head of Fraser takes the majority force within the check. While Fraser is in a puck engaged, shooting stance, he does not alter his head or body, just prior to or simultaneously with the check, in a way that significantly contributes to head contact. If Brittain wants to make this check, he must stay low, take an angle of approach to make body to body contact and avoid the head as a principal contact point.

The incident was sent to the ICEHL PSC and determined the illegal head contact is a 'reckless' act, defined as a deliberate and/or dangerous action, with no concern for the result, with a conscious action to provoke, through intent and a willful purpose.
