Three International meetings are on the schedule in the Alps Hockey League on Thursday. There will be fights for points in Klobenstein, Milano and in Salzburg.

Thu, 25.10.2018: Red Bull Hockey Juniors vs. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (Salzburg, 19:15)

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice is back in the fight for points in the Alps Hockey League. The „Red Steelers“ have been in action in the IIHF Continental Cup last weekend, but the Slovenian Champion has failed to step up to the next round. Tadej Cimzar and Company will continue the Championship in Salzburg on Thursday now. Each team has been convincing in the Alps Hockey League lately: The Slovenes have won four straight matches, netting 25 goals (!), while the Mozart Citizens have been successful in four consecutive home-games. Besides, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors are the best team in Power Play (PP%: 32,4). The two clubs have faced each other six times, but neither has managed two streight wins so far (J/S/J/S/J/S). If this series continues, then the „Red Steelers“ must earn the victory in Salzburg on Thursday.

The game Hockey Milano Rossoblu vs. VEU Feldkirch, which was cancelled in round 1, is on the schedule on Thursday now. Both cities have a big hockey-tradition. This fact is confirmed by the fact, that the two clubs have the highest average of spectators in the Alps Hockey League. Besides, the Vorarlberger have added Reinhard Divis to their coaches team at the beginning of this week. The two clubs have shown different faces lately: The Austrians have won three straight games and have been on fire as well: Robin Soudek and Co. have potted 20 goals during that span. On the other hand, Hockey Milano Rossoblu has won just one match out of nine rounds so far and has scored fewest goals (19) as well. Lately, the Italians have been defeated in two straight games.

The Rittner Buam have convinced in the IIHF Continental Cup last weekend, winning their group and stepping up the next round. The Italian Champion is back in the fight for points in the Alps Hockey League now and will welcome EC Bregenzerwald in a meeting of two neighbours in the standing on Thursday. The South Tyroleans have earned nine points (three wins) out of eight games in this Alps Hockey League season so far and are ranked on place 13, while the „Wälder“ got nine points (three wins) out of eleven matches and are ranked on place 14. Each club has been defeated in the Championship lately and will try to return on the winning street. The team having home-advantage has left the ice as the winner in three straight clashes. Besides, the Rittner Buam have won both home-games against the ECB.
