The win2day ICE Hockey League playoffs continue on Saturday, while the series between EC-KAC and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 will begin on Sunday, after Game 1 on Tuesday had to be abandoned in the first period due to a medical emergency and the following game on Thursday did not take place. Game 1 of the best-of-seven series will now be held on Sunday in Klagenfurt. In the other three series, Game 3 will already be played on Saturday. Defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg and EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV are already under considerable pressure, as both teams are down 0–2 in their respective series. In contrast, the series between HCB Südtirol Alperia and Olimpija Ljubljana is still completely even. All weekend games are available live on Sporteurope.tv.

The quarterfinal series between EC-KAC and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 continues as a best-of-seven series. Both teams and their players have expressed a strong desire to complete the series as planned – as a sign of unity and support for Jordan Murray during his recovery. The opener will take place on Sunday at 18:00 in Klagenfurt. All four regular-season meetings went to KAC, two of them only after overtime or a penalty shootout.

Salzburg under pressure against Pustertal
Defending champion Salzburg is already down 0–2 in the series against Pustertal. Both losses were narrow: a 2–3 OT defeat in Game 1, followed by a 1–2 loss in Bruneck. Now they must win on home ice on Saturday to avoid facing four match points against them. The last time the Red Bulls were down 0–2 in a playoff series was in the 2021 semifinals, when they also lost Game 3 and eventually went out 1–4. That was also the last season in which Salzburg did not win the championship.

Graz with the chance to go 3–0 at home
Regular-season champion Graz is currently on track for the semifinals. After a narrow 2–1 OT home win against Villach, they followed up with a 5–1 away victory on Thursday. On Saturday, the Styrians could already move to 3–0 in the series and secure match points. So far this season, Graz has won two of three home games against Villach. Last season, Graz led 2–0 in the quarterfinals against Linz but eventually lost the series 3–4.

Bolzano looks to take the lead at home
The series between Bozen and Ljubljana started with two away victories. First, the Slovenians narrowly won 3–2 OT in Bolzano, followed by a 2–1 victory for Bolzano in Ljubljana. Bolzano’s opening quarterfinal defeat was also their first home loss against Olimpija since September 26, 2023, ending a streak of five consecutive home wins.
